Support for Lornah Kiplagat Foundation

Last Friday Lornah was invited at the Jozefschool in Venhuizen, Netherlands. The Jozefschool, a primary school with 300 children, is supporting Lornah's idea to build the Lornah Kiplagat Sports Academy in Iten, Kenya.


Support for Lornah Kiplagat Foundation They have done sponsor runs and a fancy fair and raised the amount of Euro 8,000 ! for the Academy.

Lornah spent the whole afternoon with the kids who welcomed her with a Swahili song. Lornah has explained the ideas behind the Lornah Kiplagat Sports Academy and told the staff and children hat she is extremely happy with their support. The plans for the Lornah Kiplagat Sports Academy are made by the Hoge School Utrecht and the Lornah Kiplagat Foundation.

he Foundation is talking to several Dutch Multinationals, the Dutch government and the UN about support of the project. The Foundation expects to start the construction of the Academy later this year. The plot for the Academy, appr. 40 acres in Iten, Kenya, has been donated by Lornah to the Foundation.
